Please be sure you have the 9th Edition TNCC course provider manual. It is the newest version and you will need it to attend the class and for your online Final Exam. Course Modules must be completed 48 Hrs. Prior to the start of your class!

Course Format

A variety of learning methodologies are included to cater to every learning style, including:

  • Textbook
  • Online modules
  • Live simulation
  • Instructor-led classroom discussions and skill stations
  • Reshaped and revised pre-course learning activities to include modules on communication and shock.
  • The addition of “The LGBTQ+ Trauma Patient” chapter.

 

Textbook: The latest edition of the TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course Provider Manual includes evidence-based content developed by trauma emergency experts. The 21-chapter, comprehensive manual is a compilation of current trauma nursing standards and a valuable resource for future reference.

Online learning: Online modules with links to additional information are provided prior to the course date to let you learn at your own pace, apply what you learn and receive immediate feedback, and refer back to information at any time. The modules are a complete case study process — taking you through an entire sequence of care.

Live simulation: TNCC includes hands-on training using both an individual and a team approach.  Trauma nursing process psychomotor skills stations offer you the opportunity to practice trauma patient assessments and interventions in a controlled environment.

Instructor-led classroom discussions and skill stations: TNCC is a one-day intensive course taught by expert instructors.

 

ATTENTION: All course requirements including course modules and any precourse work must be complete 72 hours before the start of class. Students that don't complete their requirements before the deadline will be dropped from the class and no refund will be issued. Communication with your instructor must be a priority in order to succeed in this course, please reply to e-mails as you receive them.

The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The Emergency Nurses Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #2322.

 


Refund Policy

Full payment of $350.00 and a book fee of $80.00 are required in order to secure a spot in the TNCC Course. Space is limited. To ensure individuals that need the class get in, payment is non-refundable & non-transferable no exceptions. Once you submit payment for the class, your spot is reserved and logged with the TNCC Course Administrator. If you do not show up to the first day or are late, your spot will be dropped! If it's impossible to attend your paid class, you are allowed to sell your spot to another student that you recruit on your own (name must be submitted to our training center 1 week before class at the latest.)

Pre-Course TNCC Assignments
The TNCC Course NOW has pre-course requirements. This pre-course requirement is a set of required modules and MUST be completed before attending. View the TNCC Book 9th edition and being familiarized with the information.  The TNCC 9th edition is mandatory prior to class, all other editions are not acceptable for this course.

Testing/Evaluation
Successful completion of the course includes scoring 80% or greater on the multiple-choice examination and demonstrating all critical steps and 70% of the total points in the evaluated skill station � the Trauma Nursing Process. If a student does not pass the TNCC Course, no refund will be provided, and no free retakes allowed. In order to take the class again a non-passing fee of $350.00 is required in order to enroll in the next available class. Must be present in class and testing attempted in order for the fee to apply.

BOOK POLICY

If you purchase a book through our web page and it has not been issued to you yet, Central Valley Medical will be more than happy to refund you the amount you paid for the book, or you may arrange to come by our office and pick it up. No opened books may be returned or refunded for any reason. Books may not be issued during the course and then returned for a refund, Including if they have been unopened. Books may also not be shared during the course; this is against American Heart Association rules and guidelines. Each student must have their own current book; this is per AHA rules in order to attend an AHA course and is not a Central Valley Medical rule.
