Our TNCC Instructor Course is a comprehensive training program designed to prepare nurses to become TNCC Instructors. The TNCC Instructor Course emphasizes adult learning strategies, live practice, in-person training, and correct evaluation methods.

The path to becoming a TNCC instructor is complex and includes learning about different teaching strategies, understanding how people learn, and being familiar with various types of teaching media.

Requirements for Successful Completion

  • Must be an Active TNCC Provider
  • Achievement of at least 90% on the online examination and psychomotor skills test,
  • Completion of online modules
  • Attendance and participation during the entire educational session
  • Completion and submission of the course evaluation

 

Before Signing Up

 

1. Every aspiring TNCC instructor should have a TNCC 9.0 Manual in their possession, we do stock physical and eBook copies if you need to purchase one.

2. You also need to be a verified IP candidate.

Prerequisites

  1. Must have a current TNCC 9.0 provider card.
  2. Must have an active RN license to become a certified TNCC instructor.
  3. Must be recommended by your TNCC instructor. We will accept written or digital letters of recommendation.
  4. Must pass the TNCC 9.0 provider exam with a 90% or better or Monitored a 9th Edition Class.

NOTICE:

  • If it has been over 90 days since your Provider course, pre-testing is required within 28 days of the Instructor course.
  • Watch for an email from enau@ena.org with instructions to complete the online exam.
    • You will have two attempts to score 90% on the exam
    • If you are unsuccessful, please contact the Course Director to withdraw from the instructor course

ATTENTION: All course requirements including course modules and any precourse work must be completed 72 hours before the start of class. Students that don't complete their requirements before the deadline will be dropped from the class and no refund will be issued. Communication with your instructor must be a priority in order to succeed in this course, please reply to e-mails as you receive them.

You are required to have the current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one here. Please choose from the following optional items:

BOOK POLICY

If you purchase a book through our web page and it has not been issued to you yet, Central Valley Medical will be more than happy to refund you the amount you paid for the book, or you may arrange to come by our office and pick it up. No opened books may be returned or refunded for any reason. Books may not be issued during the course and then returned for a refund, Including if they have been unopened. Books may also not be shared during the course; this is against American Heart Association rules and guidelines. Each student must have their own current book; this is per AHA rules in order to attend an AHA course and is not a Central Valley Medical rule.
